PechaKucha
Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", PechaKucha rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
This event will consist of six presentations, each presenter having up to 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds on a timer. Thus, each presenter has just 6 minutes and 40 seconds to explain their ideas before the next speaker takes the stage.
Presenters are allowed to speak on such topics as market trends, industry insights, highlights from their firm, travels, research projects, student projects, hobbies, collections, or other interests. The format allows for the presenter to present on whatever topic they would like.
Conceived as a venue through which presenters can meet, exchange ideas, and network, the format keeps presentations concise and fast-paced. The power of PechaKucha is that the success of each presentation relies purely on the presenter’s personality and the strength of her or his ideas.
